Krefeld sollt einen formsch\u00f6nen, aber auch der preussischen Eisenbahn und der Bedeutung Krefeld angemessenen stattlichen Staatsbahnhof erhalten. Der Hauptbahnhof schlie\u00dft die Verl\u00e4ngerung des Ostwalls ab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sehenswert ist der Bahnhof und insbesondere auch die href=\"https:\/\/www.industriekultur-krefeld.org\/index.php\/hoeherlegung-der-eisenbahn\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"543\">H\u00f6herlegung der Eisenbahn, die Br\u00fcckenlandschaft wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Karl Biecker entwarf f\u00fcr die Stadtfront des Krefelder Bahnhofs ein abwechslungsreiches Zusammenspiel mehrerer Abschnitte. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Es lohnt sich sehr,  die Fassade des Bahnhofs genauer anzuschauen, nordische Renaissance, Fr\u00fchbarock und Jugendstil, Giebelvariationen, Basaltlava, Foto: \u00a9 <a href=\"http:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/wiki\/User:Ludger1961\">Ludger1961<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-sa\/3.0\">CC BY-SA 3.0<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/w\/index.php?curid=19617168\">Link<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\" id=\"karl-biecker\">Karl Biecker<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Karl Biecker arbeitete zwischen 1899 und  1902 an den Entwurfsskizzen des Koblenzer Hauptbahnhofs, die der Architekt Fritz Klingholz weiter bearbeitete als Biecker 1902 als Vorstand der Bauabteilung f\u00fcr Eisenbahnhochbauten nach Krefeld versetzt wurde. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zeitgleich zum Krefelder Hauptbahnhof war er von Krefeld aus an den Entw\u00fcrfen f\u00fcr die Hauptbahnh\u00f6fe von M\u00f6nchengladbach, Rheydt und den Umbau \/ Er\u00adwei\u00adte\u00adrung des Hauptbahnhofs Neuss besch\u00e4ftigt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1906 wurde er zur Eisenbahndirektion nach K\u00f6ln versetzt. Der 1914 fertiggestellte <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rheinische-industriekultur.com\/seiten\/objekte\/orte\/koeln\/objekte\/bh-deutz.html\">Deutzer Personenbahnhof (heute K\u00f6ln\/Messe Deutz)<\/a> stammt aus seiner und Hugo R\u00f6ttchers Feder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ebenso der 1913 erbaute Sitz der K\u00f6niglichen Eisenbahndirektion in K\u00f6ln, den er zusammen mit den
